This is true, the season 2 ended without even explaining anything, or showing the aftermath. I find the comment about bringing it back or being damned lol. Seeing how this is fitting for it. It's not like they won't make fortune with how popular season 3 would be.

Of all the HBO made shows Carnivale was the best and kept your interest high. Bring back another few seasons of it and you will have a hit show

just finished watching last episode of season 2 thought i would get on net to find season 3 im so peed of there is not one i would buy it if they had it best series i have ever watched had me up till 4 am every night wathching dvds not happy grrrrrrrrrrr

it was one of the best tv shows i had ever watched. my face was glued to the tv every sunday night. i think i loved carnivale more than i love true blood! they need to bring it back and finish the story. season 3 was going to be awesome, everyone knew it. its just so heart breaking!

Can't understand why this was canceled. This was the best series HBO created. It was so different from anything else on tv, not your ordinary run of the mill show. It was creative and waiting for the next episode seemed like it took forever. The way it ended left you craving more. I surely do miss it.

As an aspiring actor and director, the ideas i would have with the show and what i would do with it; would be pretty grand indeed; the biggest issue is the cost of everything...has not one noticed that there is so much in the series??? I mean it looks like 1930, the dust storms and everything its all so amazing!
I come from a background of "Gypsies" we perfer to be called "Roma" by the way; i understand Knaufs ideals and ordeals with this series maybe better than most...i hope this is not pretentious...anyways, i grew up with alot of mythology around me as told by the Lovara/Piedmontese Sinti peoples; alot of what is spoken in Carnivale was also spoken to me by many influential people in my life....anyways, i have my own ideas if only i had a way to get anywhere...
So far, i can tell you if i make it, this is going to me my "caanan" and i swear if i make it in the buisness, i swear this juggernaut i WILL come back to...even if it means in ten, to twenty years..
This story, just has to be told.

i finished carnivale last year and to my dismay found out there was no third season.
i threw a fit and went on a "bring it back" rampage.
that has been behind me ever since about July of 2011
today is February 4th, 2012; While checking out some new series on HBO GO, come to find out...
CARNIVALE ISN'T EVEN ON THE LIST ANYMORE! :'(
seriously, i don't know if this is a good thing (maybe this could be a sign of HBO or some other outlet picking it up) or a bad thing (it's gone forever)
i know you can buy the DVDs and everything, but i must know... what does this mean?! i've been looking around the internet hoping to find an answer and i have found no definite disclosure. please, if anyone has an update or any information as to why carnivale doesn't show up on this list, i must know!

I heard the budget just wasn't there for a TV show. So how about making Carnivale movies . Series like Harry Potter has shown us that you can have 6 or more movies and people will go see every one. Get the cast back {from what I've seen most of them aren't doing much if anything at all} and make block buster movies. How do we go about making a big online petition and getting this idea to the powers that be?

seeing as Hollywood seems to be out of fresh ideas and is just remaking old films and such i think it would be a great idea to turn the rest of the series into movies, i think it would be worth a try

yup it needs to come back at least for one more season to try to Finnish off the story, they say it was canceled because it cost too much per episode, but just think of all the other great works we would not have if they were looked at from just a cost perspective alone, carnivale was a great show and made HBO look good so they should do the right thing and bring it back, if only to give it a proper ending.

just bought the two seasons on DVD can't wait to watch it all again but it's gonna hurt when i get to the end and know there is so much still to resolve, i just wish there was some chance of it being brought back but i guess not, unless it gets lots of international support, who knows, we can hope

One Question I have asked myself and any one who was-is a carnival fan, Why not continue the series? This show was up there with the sopranos in my book. I waited and waited, never came back. Not to mention, you can't even watch any back episodes on HBO (on demand). As I sit here tonight watching past episodes of "six feet under", I wonder why and where did one of my Fav. shows go?????? If anyone out there can answer, I would Love it!

finnaly something with class ans true meaning one of the dumbest thing to do to cancel carnival????!!!! ps I reall do not realate to much this show had alot of true facts about hystory people realy need to understand to stop taking life for granted mostly their health it can allways be worse..........

How sad that HBO hangs a lot of trash out there for us to accept but can't seem to finish a good series,This was a well wriitten and not easy to predict series, touching on many contraversal subjects. I hope that HBO has not been muted by the bigger media coorporations that forever spew pointless cheap sitcoms and vulgarity.
cancelled my connection to HBO as many of u should, to protest the cancellation of the Carnevale series.

I just watched my DVDs again, and as always I get so angry at the end... All I could think was, "Why can't I get a Serenity version... a movie that doesn't answer all the questions... because you can't, but that just leaves me feeling less cheated of a great story?"
Does Sophie take over and make Brother Justin her *****? Did Sophie get knocked up by Ben? Can Jonesy survive please, because no one can take his place (or was that like killing off Wash)? Can they get the elephant back, because he had a great sense of humor?
Or maybe they ended it just right, because six years later you would have to have the exact same team to do the series justice in movie form... and what are the chances of that happening?

The show was too expensive for HBO. Also they say it had lower ratings in season 2. Well, in my country (Croatia) the show was broadcasted Fridays at 2 am. It was impossible to catch all the episodes that way. I have watched them on DVD, and the show is extraordinary, excellent.
So I guess, we have to kill HBO to revive the series
